What if the business conglomerates masquerading as college athletic conferences were busted up and the top 81 teams by attendance were organized by geography rather than TV markets and then given a fair and equitable shot to make a 16-team playoff at the end of the season?

Conference Buster is your answer.

Week 7 standings and playoff projection

According to many projections this week for the final four in the college football playoff, some of the teams that would not make it include Ole Miss, Baylor, Notre Dame, and Oregon.

In the words of famous American female vocalist Willie Scott, are they crazy???

The new playoff format was hailed as a fix for college football, but it's the same old system that doesn't provide a true national championship.

Think about this. What exactly has changed versus the previous BCS system? The only difference is that the Powers That Be added two more teams for double the money.

To ensure that colleges such as Ole Miss, Baylor, Notre Dame, and Oregon are not shut out of a chance to play for the national championship, the only solution is this.

The NCAA's playoff committee will realize this after the chaos of this season.

Teams in red have qualified for the 16-team postseason playoff seeded below the standings. Teams in blue have qualified as the worst two teams in Division 1 and must play to see who is sent down to Division 2 for the following season. Teams are ranked in each division using the brilliant Massey comparison rankings.
